INtroduction to Computing Arts.
This course provided an introduction to the use of computing in the arts and humanities including file management, word processing, electronic mail, the use of the world wide web for research and publication, and basic image editing, web design, and page layout. We dipped our toes into Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver. This course is the pre course you take before Graphic Design 1-4.

In this assignment, we were given 3 pictures that we had to Mask into 1 photo. The house, car, child, and field were the pictures given to use. The assignment had us use the pen tool, quick selection, as well as layer mask to create this image. I used google images for the parents waving to the kid, the tree, driveway, and the for sale sign.

This image to the left was our final project for the entire class. It was a combination of everything put into one image. It tested all the tools learned in photoshop, which include: Gradient, Layer Mask, Quick Selction, Pen Tool, Shapes, and Effects (gradient overlay, stroke, bevel and emboss, drop shadow, and outer glow). |
